Feeding is a matter close to our hearts, so you will certainly find what you are looking for in our range if you want to gain more control over the contents of your four-legged friend's bowl in order to feed him according to his needs.

Fresh meat for dogs: What belongs in the BARF bowl?

The main component of every BARF meal is raw meat. This animal component makes up around 80% of the total ration. When BARFing, a distinction is made between muscle meat, offal, tripe, omasum and bones. The percentages of the individual components (muscle meat, offal, etc.) refer to the animal component.

If the dog is now being fed raw food, you can start with beef muscle meat, for example. A BARF ration usually contains 50 to 60% muscle meat . In contrast, offal usually makes up 15% of the meaty portion when it comes to raw food. Offal provides your four-legged friend with important nutrients and trace elements.

In our BARF shop you have probably already noticed the rumen, which is the name given to one of the forestomachs of ruminants. The omasum, on the other hand, is a section of the forestomach. When feeding a dog BARF, this usually makes up 15 to 20%.

The BARF ration is also missing bones, which make up 15 to 20%. These are particularly important for calcium intake and have the positive side effect of cleaning teeth.

In addition to fresh meat for the dog, the BARF bowl is completed with fruit & vegetables and supplements. This ensures that your four-legged friend receives all the important nutrients for a species-appropriate and balanced diet.

Vegetables are an important source of fiber and provide additional vitamins and minerals. You can use vegetables such as carrots, spinach, broccoli or pumpkin. So that your four-legged friend can use the vegetables, they should be pureed or cooked. To do this, simply visit our Barf online shop. There you will find a large selection of already pureed fruit and vegetable mixes with a variety of ingredients.

Depending on the specific needs of your four-legged friend, you can add additional supplements or nutritional supplements.

In our BARF shop you will also find our ready-made BARF : BARF Komfort PLUS and BARF Gourmet PLUS . Our ready-made BARF already contains all the important components of BARF, so you don't have to do anything yourself.

Barfen: Barf complete menu for the dog

When BARFing, whether for dogs or cats, there are also complete menus. A typical complete BARF menu consists of various ingredients and all the necessary nutrients that your four-legged friend needs for its health and well-being. In our BARF shop you can now find our Finnish complete menus . Just like with ready-made BARFs, the advantage of BARFing with complete menus is that it is a complete meal. The complete menus in our BARF online shop can be fed without any additives. They form the basis of BARFing and can of course be supplemented with supplements to suit your four-legged friend's individual needs.

In summary: Ready-made BARF and complete menus are the easy and convenient way to BARF.

So no matter whether you use fresh meat with individual components or ready-made BARF / complete menus, your four-legged friend will of course receive species-appropriate food and in our BARF shop you can freely decide what is best for you and your four-legged friend.
