Feeding & Storage
Mix 4 g of powder (1 measuring spoon equals 1 g) with approx. 250 ml of cold water in a steel pot. After boiling briefly, remove the pot from the heat and continue stirring until the powder has completely dissolved. Allow the slippery elm syrup to cool well. The cooled syrup can then be drawn into a syringe without a needle and given into your animal's mouth.
If possible, administer the syrup 30 minutes before normal feeding. Do not mix the slippery elm bark syrup with the feed, as the strong mucus formation can prevent the absorption of nutrients.
Dogs up to 10 kg: 5 ml twice daily
Dogs over 10 kg: 10 ml twice daily
Cats: 5 ml twice daily
Tip: If your pet does not like to consume the mixed syrup, try stirring the slippery elm bark powder into a homemade chicken broth instead of water.
Note: Cooked syrup can be kept in the fridge for 5-6 days. Delivery includes a practical measuring spoon.
