Summer is in full swing and with it the holiday season. Whether you're looking for a holiday apartment by the sea, a hotel in the city or perhaps you prefer to camp in nature - it's a time of optimism. Travelling with a camper is one of the most popular types of holiday. It offers many advantages, especially with a dog: spontaneity, being close to nature and having your own accommodation with you at all times. But BARFing with a camper brings with it some challenges when it comes to feeding.
BARF alternatives for vacation: pure meat cans
Pure meat can – what’s inside?
Our pure meat cans only contain pure muscle meat or muscle meat with innards and possibly tripe and broth. In contrast to normal wet food, which contains other additives. Because the meat is filled cold and heated at low temperatures, the valuable nutrients remain in the meat, just like with BARFing.
Pure meat can: The name says it all, monoprotein
The juicy puremeat cans are full of flavor, without any sugar or flavor enhancers. They are also made exclusively from fresh slaughter products that are legally approved for food production and do not contain any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.
This is what makes our pure meat cans so interesting for allergy sufferers or nutritionally sensitive animals: monoprotein and no other additives. All cans are gluten-, grain-, lactose- and soy-free.
Your four-legged friend should not be lacking variety on vacation either: we currently have 12 different varieties in our range. We offer salmon, goat, beef, chicken, rabbit, deer, horse, lamb, goose, veal, turkey and duck. Beef, chicken, goose and duck are also organically certified. The cans are available in the smaller 400 g can or the larger 800 g can. So it doesn't matter whether you have a cat or a dog, a petite Maltese or a strong Doberman - the pure meat cans are suitable for every breed, age and size.
Are you new to pure meat cans? No problem! Our cans are also available in a practical sample package.
Fruit and vegetables with pure meat cans: The ideal nutritional mix
Just like with BARFing, fruit and vegetables are an important part of the diet. The crucial benefits of fruit and vegetables with their vitamins and minerals should not be missed. Pre-portioned fruit and vegetables as well as puree are ideal for feeding with pure meat cans. To avoid using up the freezer capacity when on vacation, try our pure meat cans in combination with our vegetable flakes. Our vegetable flakes are available as fruit and vegetable mixes or as individual products, and are ideal for a grain-free supplement to meat feeding.
Pure meat cans: Calculate the feeding amount
Rule of thumb: The amount ofpure meat cans fed to adult animals is 2.5% of their body weight. The exact amount should be adjusted to the individual needs of the animal. An animal with a high activity level that goes hiking on vacation needs more food than an animal with a low activity level that is relaxing and dozing in a camper.
