linseed oil

linseed oil

Reading time < 1 minute

Linseed oil is a reliable addition to BARF to mix lots of omega-3 fatty acids into the food and thus bring them into the organism of your pets. Small amounts of linseed oil are enough for dogs and cats to cover their daily requirement of fatty acids. But why are omega-3 fatty acids so important? Many deficiency symptoms occur when the body lacks omega fatty acids. These often manifest themselves in heart and circulatory problems or affect your pet's fur. Since the acids are not produced by the body itself, it is important to add them to the BARF, for example via linseed oil.

In nature, wolves and wild cats, the ancestors of our domestic animals, find the fatty acids in fish, for example. Of course, you can buy a large batch of herring and throw it into your four-legged friend's bowl, but it's easier with linseed oil. While fish contains around three percent of omega-3 fatty acids, the proportion in linseed oil is around 55 percent.

In the haustierkost.de shop you will find linseed oil in combination with other oils. This means we use the qualities of various oils and vitamins (such as salmon oil or pumpkin seed oil) and combine them with the linseed oil. This creates valuable supplements for BARF that you can mix into the BARF meat in small quantities.
