Tripe and omasum for dogs: the stomach in BARF

Tripe and omasum for dogs: the stomach in BARF

Reading time < 1 minute

Tripe and omasum are common foods for dogs, especially with BARF . They are taken from the forestomach of ruminants and used for a diet with probiotic cultures, minerals and vitamins. The stomach of cattle and other ruminants consists of a total of four chambers: the rumen, reticulum, omasum and abomasum. However, the BARF shop usually only offers tripe and omasum for dogs. The advantage of the two forestomach chambers lies in their dog-friendly composition. Thanks to many probiotic cultures as well as minerals and water-soluble vitamins, tripe and omasum can have a positive effect on the dog and its intestinal flora. Ideally, the cow's stomach contributes to the healthy digestion of your four-legged friend.

In our BARF calculator, tripe and omasum are counted individually for dogs, as their ingredients make them basic foods. In the BARF online shop at Haustierkost, you can order tripe and omasum for dogs individually packaged for your BARF . Tripe is already included in our ready-made BARF beef and lamb mixes .
